Make 2 way for cyclists

For cyclists make this road 2-way to link the new bridge with Cossington Street recreation ground

It’s outside the pickup/ drop off for key stage 1 children at at Thomas More School. Kids are going in the road/ between parked cars to distance and car are coming down the road at the same time.

Cycle Shelter to leave bikes when using the bike facilities

During drop off and pick up times cars should be banned on Newstead Road enabling parents to use the road to social distance. It will improve childrens safety.

There is only school on that road. No other buildings. With a lot of kids and parents on the drop off and pick up it’s hard to keep social distance without waiting on the street. Also during the school hours kids need to cross this road g ... [more]

This road should be pedestrianised as a matter of urgency. Currently due to covid restrictions parents have to wait in the road for their children as there is not enough pavement space to wait at a safe social distance. I see no reason ... [more]

No easy way of accessing the on pavement cycle way. Going against the flow of vehicular traffic on Jarrom Street causes confrontation, and isn't always safe (limited opportunities to pull over, not enough room for car and bicycle to safely ... [more]

This road should be closed to traffic between 8.20-9.20 and 2.40-3.40 daily. This would allow parents and children to safely socially distance whilst waiting to enter or leave the school.

In order for parents to be in line with the covid 19 guardlines of social distancing this road needs to be temporarily closed. There are now 3 school gates/doors facing this road for parents to collect kids and it is almost impossible not t ... [more]

Traffic Calming measures: The speed at which vehicles race down to the lights makes this a very horrible stretch to cycle. Parked cars either side of the road make leaves you open to door strikes.

A secure bike hanger for users of the park to lock their bikes up safely

Please remove pop up lanes and re-instate parking. They do not work, dangerous and a nightmare for buses, pedestrians and cyclist. Stop using covid as an excuse

Street lights are needed along the road down the park, right to the bottom near playground. It is so dark and when we take our dog the visibility is zero in the evenings.

Bus stop no longer usable due to the new vanity project which is these cycle lanes. Further to walk for people struggling who need to get on the bus

Cycle parking needed by the Co-op bank. Plenty of space, nearest is on High St

Massive unsafe bellmouth. Narrow or block up

Massive bellmouth here unnecessary and a pedestrian danger. Narrow or block up

Cars regularly park on pavement here, surface is ruined. Place bollards or planters to stop this

Pop up Covid Cycle lane instead of the bus/cycle lane is not used very much, it has caused accidents and reduces the width of the road slowing down emergency service vehicles attending emergency incidents. Please put it back to the bus/cycl ... [more]

Shared pedestrian and cycle pop up (with wider bollards for cyclists) during rush hours 7.30-9am and 3-5pm

Firstly well done for putting the cycle lane up the middle of Belgrave gate after the flyover. this was a no brainer and has made my cycle commute much safer. slight improvement would be a access ramp slip way (with small speed bumps to sl ... [more]

Scary to cycle along this stretch. Too congested all the up to Humberstone Rd. Why hasn't anything been done on this part of town??

Safe route needed for cyclists. Get too many fast and close passing motorists.

Wider dropped kerbs to make it easier for pushchairs/cyclists/wheelchair users.

Dropped kerbs WITH BOLLARDS to allow it to be easier for cyclists without having to disembark...especially when cars/vans have obstructed this.

Keep left signs to help cyclists and pedestrians to be safer and socially distance.

Keep left signs to help pedestrians and cyclists.

Widen footpath and eliminate wooden bridge as impossible to social distance as the bridge is so slippery in all weathers. Keep left signs to make it easier for cyclists (and all).

Hazardous spot. Need signs advising all users to keep left and to look for other users when turning out onto Great Central Way. Also if cyclist coming from Gt Ctl turning left towards pebble beach there is reduced visibility which is hazard ... [more]

Wooden bridge is incredibly slippery especially because of location and in winter months. No railings so a fall to either side could be deadly for some.

Needs drainage or resurfacing. In wet weather this path is impossible to walk on and going on the side to grass is also dangerous. A popular path for cyclists too so resurfacing would be ideal especially as it leads to pebble beach.

Pedestrian crossing point to reduce need to go to busy KFC crossing or further into Narborough Road. Would also slow down cars.

Wider crossing point so pedestrians and cyclists can social distance. Also gives more space so that cyclists can 'get in lane' rather than potentially bumping into people when crossing Upperton Road.

Impossible for prams to go down these stairs without another person assisting. Please make a path.

A bridge for cyclists to cross Upperton Road and head straight into Bede Park. Safer for all and would encourage more people to cycle.

Wider crossing space on both sides for social distancing and also generally so there is more separation between cyclists and pedestrians for safety. Not always clear which direction others are going in.

Keep left signs so it safe for both cyclists and pedestrians to overtake/pass.

Keep left signs needed, particularly just before bend so that it is safe for pedestrians and cyclists.

Bump in surface when riding on left away from City - hazardous for cyclists.

Cameras and fines in place for those who use this as their dogs toilet.

Very bumpy towards edge so cyclists/pedestrians cannot safely use this - resurface please. Especially dangerous for young children and pram users when feeding ducks.

Limited space to pass even without need to social distance. Bollards need widening so that cyclists and pedestrians can pass safely. Suggest clear cycle and pedestrian lanes from Bede Park to the Boulevard.

Limited space to pass even without need to social distance. Bollards need widening so that cyclists can pass safely. Suggest clear cycle and pedestrian lanes from Bede Park to the Boulevard.

Safe cycle crossing lane/point clearly marked on road so that cyclists do not have to go on the pavement and cross with pedestrians.

More needs to be done to discourage cars from parking on corners (double yellow lines). Poor visibility for cyclists, cars often blocking dropped kerbs for pedestrians and dangerous for cars that enjoy cutting corners.

In between Compton and top side Haddenham there needs to be a narrowed road with bollards so that cars driving from top of Haddenham Road are forced to slow down and can see cars turning in from Compton Road. This will also allow children t ... [more]

Traffic measures to stop speeding down Narborough Road especially heading towards City. Unsafe for cyclists on road where cars do not have enough time or sense to overtake sensibly.

All major pavements should have signs to advise pedestrians to keep to the left in England. Makes it easier if cyclists have no choice but to use the road and allows pedestrians to socially distance more easily as people do not realise if s ... [more]

There needs to be lights along the road going through the park from the main gates. It gets very dark as the evenings draw in and I take my dog for a walk and it is a struggle to see.

Too many cars/vans and larger vehicles using Guilford Road as a cut through. The road is long, straight and wide which is why they speed plus they are cutting the corner off as they should be staying on London Road. Weight limit is s ... [more]

Pot hole (years old) just as you get over to the left side of Narborough Rd, if turning from Fullhurst Avenue, before the bus lane starts. This risks cyclists being thrown off course at a particularly dangerous place.

Terrible speeding, used as a cut through. High volumes of traffic. Very dangerous driving on a narrow road. Accident waiting to happen and it’s getting worse.

Numerous accidents but lights will cause even more congestion. Suggest yellow box placed at junction

Excessive speeding on a residential road. Why are you waiting for a serious RTA before something is done?

Countless accidents at this junction - it needs lights. Maybe move the pedestrian crossing to this junction

Existing uncontrolled crossings, vehicles travel fast across junction - need raised table (or similar) to reduce traffic speeds and give cycleway priority, and/or controlled crossings to help pedestrians & cyclists cross safely

Complicated junction for cyclists and pedestrians.

Existing cycle path is not wide enough given how busy and fast the road is

Path too narrow opposite school. Outside shops

A safe cycleway through new estate with a bike share location would be help as not many people own cars in beaumont leys so we need more bike share locations

Narrow path with overground hedge.

There is a dip in the side of the road and collects a large puddle just at the pedestrian crossing. Please arrange some drainage.

There is no overground route signed to avoid having to dismount and use the narrow tunnel towpath. Dangerous and badly lit.

This cycle route is incredibly uneven, dark and dangerous to navigate. It needs resurfacing, lighting and better signage.

Although these are one way, drivers ignore right of way and pull out blocking traffic on opposite carriage. Entry onto the B6416 from both sides of Nottingham Rd should be left turn only.

Majority of vehicles, ignore traffic signals here, need speed and light camera's, inconsiderate parking along the entire length of this road

Motor vehicles use the cycle lane, need a more secure separation.

Almost impossible to cross here at rush hour

Blind corner for cyclists, been a few near misses here

Improve road surface, pop up cycle lane resembles the ventoux cobbles

Improve road surface

Need something to stop people parking on the double yellows at the end of the cycle lane

More signage to make it clear that this is a shared footpath/cycle route

Speed bumps or gravel entrances to the park aren't particularly cycle friendly

Cycling North from Aylestone is tricky getting to the bike track on the other side. A bicycle ramp would be useful here so its easier to join the shared path to cross the roadway.

The second stop signal is too high to see for cyclists. Have to stop very far before the line to see the signal properly. Often you cant see when it changes to green.

Cycle pathway needs improvments please. Going up the hill the cycle path dumps into a one way street. No signs to alert drivers or pedestrians. Can't use road because of barriers and high speed traffic. A better pathway for both pedestrians ... [more]

Traffic lane here is narrow and cars swerve left towards the curb to avoid turning cars. Had numerous and countless near misses here.
