Despite having loading/parking bays outside of the post office, a van is often parked on the new cycle track, unloading goods for the post office. Can barriers be put in place to prevent vehicles blocking the cycle track and pavement?

There is enough room on the University side of University Road from the corner of Welford Road down to the entrance to Peace Walk for the pavement to be widened or adapted to create a cycle lane. University Road itself is terrible and needs resurfacing desperately.

Cars over-run and ignore poorly marked cycle contraflow. please segregate/sign properly. Most dangerous are cars swinding wide to turn at Chatham and Belvoir St.

Allow cycling both ways on East Street (in separate path where currently 1 way) and link to station to enable cyclists to avoid the chaos in Granby Street

A cycleway linking up the Great Central Way to the new cycle route going up to Victoria Park would open up this side of the city for cyclists. There is an existing bridge and it looks like there is space at the side of the railway bridge to open this side up. It would be really useful for access to LCFC on match days, so that people didn’t have to walk on the roads, allowing pedestrians to access the football ground from the opposite side.

The cycle lane crosses the road too many times here. There is also no drop curb where you have to join the cycle lane from the road, so you have to go up the curb. This is on the new section, so the contractors have done a poor job

An exception plate should be added to allow cycle users to turn left from Great Central Street into All Saints Road. This is the most obvious route from city centre to new homes in Waterside development & there is no conflict as ped crossing is uncontrolled.

Cycle lane is too narrow and bendy, with multiple crossings in a short space. These are not only annoying but dangerous, especially when on a Santander bike (easier to fall over on tight bends). Should be a long, straight and wide path and make cars be careful on the turn towards Freemens' Common.

Make contraflow for cycles. Already used informally, there is enough space & motor traffic volumes/speed are low enough, so would just need traffic order/signage.

Although used by people cycling, crossing is currently pelican rather than toucan crossing. Should be made toucan for clarity.

The council have made the road one way at Greystone Avenue. This means that car journeys are now twice as long as there is only one way back to my home. I tried walking a journey I do 4 times a day with a pram and a 3 year old. The pavements are dangerous and an accident waiting to happen. My pram got stuck in several points on Uppingham Road and my 3 year old tripped on the uneven surfaces.

This is a dangerously narrow cycleway, care and attention is required to avoid hitting the poles (and falling off).

Leicester has some nice cycleways!

Would you consider opening up footpath access from Great Central Way to Mini Roundabout between ASDA filling station and ASDA supermarket? Or from Great Central Way to ASDA supermarket Car Park? There is already a narrow access there. This will access and encourage more people to walk to work in Fosse Park or walk/cycle to do their shopping there. Thank you.

Cycle route descends into subway which is frequently covered with broken glass, and only exits towards bus station as ramp, hindering access to the shared access pavement towards John Lewis. Provide Toucan crossings in this location

Gap in cycle way from new lanes on Aylestone Rd across light controlled crossing onto Welford Rd adjacent to park. The cycle way by side of prison turns left towards Lancaster Walk, and there is no marked cycle way from there to crossing. This means cyclists either cycle along pavement, or use the centre island to next crossing, and dodge through multiple traffic signs.

Raised edgings and bollards similar to those on Welford Rd, required to prevent delivery lorries, taxis and other vehicles from mounting kerb and parking along cycle lane.

Compulsory traffic turn signage needed at junction of Welford Pl with Welford Rd to prevent vehicles treating it as a give way, and queueing. Often to cross over to far lanes. Traffic should be required to turn left into first lane then move over when safe, and road markings on corner of Newark Str/Welford Rd altered to restrict vehicles to far 2 lanes at corner around till past junction.

New right turn from Northampton Str onto Granby Str has no Give Way or other method of slowing down traffic, meaning vehicles turn at speed without regard to cyclists and pedestrians on junction. Only a matter of time before there is an accident here.

Cycle lane unusable due to constant vehicle packing along it

Action needed to prevent constant stream of vehicles parking on new wider pavements and even across cycle lane adjacent to McDonald's. Despite contrasting surface colouration, lowered kerbs mean drivers often seem not to distinguish between traffic lane and pavement/cycle lane. Camera enforcement required.

Just crashed here. broken finger/cracked rib. not blaming anyone but could you all PLEASE use only cycle friendly speed bumps? that is to say a gap for bikes to go through that's flat. the same can be said elsewhere, such as one path in aylestone meadows where some thoughtless jobsworth installed speed bumps stretching right into the bushes to the side. these things don't even cost anything, they just need consideration of people who obviously never ride a bike but are building our infrastructure none the less.

Motorists and cyclists can enter from five directions. This busy crossing could be made safer with clear markings indicating where pedestrians and cyclists should cross.
Pedestrians, often with children, come to and from the popular Bede Park. There are also electric scooters, roller-skaters, skateboarders, and delivery cyclists. On the pavement outside the Western Pub there are stands for the electric hire bikes.
Motorists are sometimes tempted to speed up or down the Wilberforce Road hill.
It would be great to have measures to slow motorists down for this junction.

Please either create a real cycleway along London Rd southbound or just get rid of the plastic wands. They make the ride dangerous. Far too narrow and put you in the gutter and over drains.

The length of the A6030 from top of Tailby Ave to the university (
Stoughton Drive South) needs protected cycleways to help people access different facilities and safely join up Humberstone and Oadby.

Idea for a Santander Bike location

Maybe this would be a ideal location for a docking station as Braunstone Town is a quiet residential area with a large amount of history and pedestrian traffic who would normally catch a polluting bus or drive into the city or the local fosse Park shopping area.

Need an over pass, or sky-way, for cyclists and scooters, on stilts over the center of the road, with a roof and wind-block sides, with paid-for access, all the way from the ring road into town (4 lanes, 30mph limit)

A santander Dock station would be nice outside Leicester Golf Course or surrounding areas reducing carbon emissions going towards the city. I know I would actually drive my car less if I had access to the E Bikes.

Hazardous, slippery-when-wet manhole cover on steep incline. More than a few people have gone tits -over-ass here. just waiting to see an old woman with brittle bones stack it

Public access required in this area, possibly linking to the tunnels under Soar Valley Way (near Currys) and canal by King's Lock.
