Northcote Road is now a ratrun with frequent speeding/ dangerous driving. Rather than seek to push further traffic into it by eliminating a right turn onto Queens Road, Northcote Road needs to be traffic-restricted. One way?

THE CLOSED ROAD HERE IS DANGEROUS, FORCING MANY CARS, VANS, AND LORRIES TO DRIVE DOWN HIGH STREET ALL DAY EVERY DAY TO ACCES THEIR OWN CAR PARKS.

This unused ground under the old sign would be a good place for a bikeshare station

Replace the 3 parking spaces for the old surgery.

During drop off and pick up times cars should be banned on Newstead Road enabling parents to use the road to social distance. It will improve childrens safety.

There is only school on that road. No other buildings. With a lot of kids and parents on the drop off and pick up it’s hard to keep social distance without waiting on the street. Also during the school hours kids need to cross this road g ... [more]

This road should be pedestrianised as a matter of urgency. Currently due to covid restrictions parents have to wait in the road for their children as there is not enough pavement space to wait at a safe social distance. I see no reason ... [more]

This road should be closed to traffic between 8.20-9.20 and 2.40-3.40 daily. This would allow parents and children to safely socially distance whilst waiting to enter or leave the school.

In order for parents to be in line with the covid 19 guardlines of social distancing this road needs to be temporarily closed. There are now 3 school gates/doors facing this road for parents to collect kids and it is almost impossible not t ... [more]

Traffic Calming measures: The speed at which vehicles race down to the lights makes this a very horrible stretch to cycle. Parked cars either side of the road make leaves you open to door strikes.

Crazy squeezed cycle lane (with lamp post!) and mixed up area of pedestrians cyclists and road traffic

Recently 3-4 school buses have begun to park outside Wilko`s in the morning so on my commute across town I now face city buses on Charles street having to pull out into on coming lane fully blocking the road for cycles going through Charles ... [more]

Keep left signs to help cyclists and pedestrians to be safer and socially distance.

Keep left signs to help pedestrians and cyclists.

Pedestrian crossing point to reduce need to go to busy KFC crossing or further into Narborough Road. Would also slow down cars.

Keep left signs so it safe for both cyclists and pedestrians to overtake/pass.

Keep left signs needed, particularly just before bend so that it is safe for pedestrians and cyclists.

Limited space to pass even without need to social distance. Bollards need widening so that cyclists can pass safely. Suggest clear cycle and pedestrian lanes from Bede Park to the Boulevard.

More needs to be done to discourage cars from parking on corners (double yellow lines). Poor visibility for cyclists, cars often blocking dropped kerbs for pedestrians and dangerous for cars that enjoy cutting corners.

In between Compton and top side Haddenham there needs to be a narrowed road with bollards so that cars driving from top of Haddenham Road are forced to slow down and can see cars turning in from Compton Road. This will also allow children t ... [more]

Too many cars/vans and larger vehicles using Guilford Road as a cut through. The road is long, straight and wide which is why they speed plus they are cutting the corner off as they should be staying on London Road. Weight limit is s ... [more]

Terrible speeding, used as a cut through. High volumes of traffic. Very dangerous driving on a narrow road. Accident waiting to happen and it’s getting worse.

Numerous accidents but lights will cause even more congestion. Suggest yellow box placed at junction

Excessive speeding on a residential road. Why are you waiting for a serious RTA before something is done?

Countless accidents at this junction - it needs lights. Maybe move the pedestrian crossing to this junction

Although these are one way, drivers ignore right of way and pull out blocking traffic on opposite carriage. Entry onto the B6416 from both sides of Nottingham Rd should be left turn only.

Majority of vehicles, ignore traffic signals here, need speed and light camera's, inconsiderate parking along the entire length of this road

Need something to stop people parking on the double yellows at the end of the cycle lane

Prevent left turn from Wellington St onto Chatham St to stop aggressive drivers constantly circling around

Action needed to prevent constant parking on double yellow lines and pavement on corner of Bishop Str and Granby Str.by delivery drivers visiting kebab shop

Action needed to prevent vehicles parking on and across cycleway and footpath to visit Shakespeare's House.

Make a 20mph zone as near a school

Traffic calming needed on this road from the very top and all the way down and into bottom close as cars and motorbike speed down the hill

These roads are dangerous with traffic. Maybe a new one way system would help. Or an extensive reworking of the existing area one way system is need to prevent vehicles using the roads as rat runs. Other road works to prevent large lorries ... [more]

Speed bumps - 20mph speed limit constantly being broken

This location is horrific for pedestrians at the beginning of school and the end. Lots of parents crossing at these times combined with crazy drivers makes it very dangerous.

Widen paths to allow for social distancing - it is very congested when the school opens and closes

One way system to reduce the number of cars travelling on this route.

Too many speeding cars cutting through now there’s roadworks on Westfield road. If Westfield is to have bumps then so should we?

Subway need to be filled in as it not safe to walk or cycle through as there are loads of places to hide

Heacham drive road humps need removing as driver just ignore them and speed over them so alternative speed reducing system need installing all the way along heacham drive to help cyclist as it can be very dangerous how it is now

Make this area residential parking. Ongoing issues when festivals on the park and people in general parking and going off for hours.

We think this road should be changed to a 1 way system to stop the traffic speeding through from the Hinckley Road. 1 way could be made by entering Westfield Road on to mellor road and exiting Western Park Road and no entry from Hinckley Ro ... [more]

Making the turn onto Granby Street from Belvoir street is almost impossible to do safely. It is completely unclear for me what I am supposed to do to get from one cycle path to the other. Either a traffic filter is needed or paths need chan ... [more]

Many cars skip the traffic lights here. Myself and my partner have several times nearly been run over by cars skipping the lights here along Narborough road. A camera and other enforcement and traffic calming here would be helpful.

Needs to be one way to motor traffic.

If QR was pedestrianised Could St Mary‘s Road become one way allowing for parking to be perpendicular to the pavement - & same for cul de sac end of Knighton Park Road thus enabling shoppers for QR to come by car if necessary ?

During school hours the road is far too busy, cars use the road as a cut through in rush hour. The road should be closed to cars at pick up and drop off times to enable families to walk safely with their children & to have enough space to s ... [more]

Pedestrianise QR from Howard Road to Clarendon Park Road only allowing access for loading and buses giving more space for outside seating areas for restaurants and pubs

Terrible for pedestrians and cyclists due to parking and speeding cars.

Ensure it is clearly a give-way onto West Avenue plus consider one piece of traffic calming on West Avenue - speeds can be excessive

A red light camera - frequently cars travelling from London Road down Victoria Park Road go through the traffic lights on red when cars are turning right onto Queens Rd - amazed there has not been a head-on RTC.

Despite 20mph limit traffic still travels at above this - a raised zebra crossing on Queens Rd would help considerably with this issue.

One way system around this area

Close Road to the east of junction of Holmfield Road and Kimberley Road to Stop speeding traffic down Holmfield Road

Need to allow vehicular access to railway station onto Conduit Street from London Road northbound.

Close the junction between Holmfield Road and Stoughton Drive to reduce speeding down Holmfield Road

Provide wider pavements and narrowing of carriageway to reduce traffic speeds. Add additional pavement build outs and plant additional street trees rather than road humps to slow traffic

Improve pedestrian crossing at junction of St Johns Road and Holmfield Road. Junction too wide encourages speeding traffic

Holmfield Road used as a cut through with no respect for speed limit. One car written off whilst parked on the road and numerous wing mirrors lost.

Close the road at school times to make it safe for pupils

Traffic filter to prevent rat running round the traffic lights at the junction

Close this junction and have traffic go via Valence Road/Braunstone Ave junction. Far too dangerous this way.

Install automated gun turrets to terminate any footfall in the area as you obviously have not been effective enough so far..
