Granby Street in Leicester. Over recent years cycle lanes have been added and the footway widened.
Painted bike lanes on the wrong side of the carriageway regularly encroached upon by buses. Not a pleasant place to be.
Painted bike lanes on the wrong side of the carriageway were never going to appeal to many. Note the worn out paint - it's about 2 years old. The lane was put here to keep bikes away from the many bus stops on Humberstone Gate.

N of Belgrave Circle isn't too clever. Mostly built in 2014, this stretch features shared space where cyclists have to give way four times in under 150m. Must maintain traffic flow. And add some parking.
