After being on shared use paths cyclists are invited to join the (dual) carriageway here.

Painted bike lanes on the wrong side of the carriageway regularly encroached upon by buses. Not a pleasant place to be.

Painted bike lanes on the wrong side of the carriageway were never going to appeal to many. Note the worn out paint - it's about 2 years old. The lane was put here to keep bikes away from the many bus stops on Humberstone Gate.

Carriageway route continues over roundabout (not open yet).

N of Belgrave Circle isn't too clever. Mostly built in 2014, this stretch features shared space where cyclists have to give way four times in under 150m. Must maintain traffic flow. And add some parking.

This Statue of Liberty on the roundabout here was rescued when the Liberty Shoes factory was knocked down, many years ago. There's a shared use path on the left here. (See #30738 for why this was taken from a car.)
